An Australian teacher, Tayla Brailey, has been granted bail after she was arrested at a school in Lurnea on Tuesday on charges of molesting a minor.
Brailey, 30, is accused of having had s*xual intercourse with a 17-year-old boy and s*xually touching him.
The teacher is accused of committing these two offences in Wollongong back in July. She is also accused of inappropriately propositioning two other students.
Following a report being made to police, Tayla Brailey was arrested from the Lurnea High School she teaches at in South-west Sydney on Tuesday and arraigned before court Wednesday.
Following her arrest, she was held in custody at Liverpool Police Station and charged with s*xually touching a person between 17 and 18 under special care and s*xual intercourse with a person under care between 17 and 18 under special care.
Police refused her bail but her attorney successfully argued for bail on Wednesday in court and she was released and placed under partial house arrest.

Magistrate Abdul-Karim ruled she would be kept holed up in her parents house and can only leave home if accompanied by one of her parents, who were in court.
The state also seized her passport, placed her under curfew and banned her from going near her school.
She is due back in court on October 2nd.

The Lurnea High School teacher accused of molesting a teenage student is actually married.
Brailey and her husband Isaiah got married in September 2023 after getting engaged back in December 2021.
Her wedding was a joyful affair with a party held in Bali of which numerous delightful photos emerged on social media.
Her husband was in court during her proceedings and reportedly wept alongside her parents as the case wore on.
Brailey has been an educator since October 2017, after graduating from the University of Wollongong with a bachelor’s degree in physical and health education.
