Ghanaian media personality, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, popularly known as Sallymann, is not buying Lilwin’s apology and is making her stance clear.
Lilwin recently expressed deep regret for his hurtful comments to Martha Ankomah during a live broadcast of United Showbiz on UTV on August 3, 2024. He asked Martha for forgiveness, saying, “Martha, please forgive me. I didn’t mean any of the offensive words I used. I deeply regret my actions.
Sallymann said she doesn’t agree with Lilwin’s apology and believes Martha should ‘test’ the law so that Lilwin will know “not just any idiot can go to court” referring to Lilwin’s dismissive attitude when the case was first filed.
“I am not for the settlement, I want Martha to test the law. I will be highly disappointed if there is an out-of-court settlement”, she said in an interview.
Keep your eye on the prize, GH₵5 million. It is the price that will serve as a deterrent to others,” Sallymann stated. The law is there to protect us and she also noted that it is high time men stopped attributing women’s success in the industry to sleeping around or prostitution.
