Popular Ghanaian blogger, GH Hyper has reported that the former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah is currently in stable condition and recovering after reportedly suffering from food poisoning.

The incident occurred over the weekend while he was attending a friend’s party in Tarkwa.

According to Wontumi TV Amponsah was scheduled to travel outside Ghana for business purposes on Wednesday, but his health condition has postponed these plans.

The specific health facility where he is receiving treatment has not been disclosed, and no suspects have emerged regarding the poisoning.

Nana Yaw Amponsah served as the CEO of Asante Kotoko from August 2020 to August 2023, during which the club celebrated its record 24th league title in the 2021/22 season.

In January 2024, he began a similar role with Moldovan club FC Petrocub Hincesti but left the position after just six months in July 2024.

The football community remains hopeful for his swift and full recovery.
