“I’ve Returned In Royalty Through The Cultural Oneness Festival Initiative” – Chief Martin Glin (Suñ Naa) Co-Founder of The Taste Of Afrika Ltd

Martin Christopher Glin was born and raised in the U.S. The son of C.D. and Evelene Glin. He traveled the world early in life, as his father was in the U.S. Air Force. The second youngest of 6 children from his mother and father. He was raised with a sense of pride in his Black heritage.

Growing up as a teen in New Orleans, Louisiana, he studied and was influenced by the writings and teachings of such great leaders as Booker T.

Washington, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, Malcolm X., Marcus Garvey and more. He developed a burning passion for changing the condition of black people in America.

As an education major at The University of New Orleans, he became aware of the negatives of the education system in America. He soon switched his interest to economics and business. Martin is a serial entrepreneur. For over 25 years he has owned and managed businesses in various industries, from real estate, transportation, and tax preparation, to entertainment and promotion.

Through these many businesses, he has created jobs and helped establish other black business owners in the black community in Alabama. Martin has always viewed business as a way for black people to economically empower themselves and build sustainable communities.

As a lover and student of history, Martin was aware of the glory of the African continent being the cradle of civilization and spirituality. But like many, he felt a disconnect from the continent and Africans born there. Not knowing from which African country or tribe your ancestry is linked leaves a void in your heart.

This was his pain. And to have so many unanswered questions like how could our brothers not attempt to rescue us from slavery, or how could our brothers work with colonizers to enslave us? How did this happen? Why did this happen? Do Africans see us as brothers? Why do they come to America and not associate with us?

Reading books was not enough.

Martin and his wife Sabrina, established The S.E.E.D of LIFE, an organization that teaches economic empowerment and cultural awareness. In 2019 Martin and his wife Sabrina founded Masternomics LLC., a company that teaches entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal development. In 2020, Martin Connected with Tengol K. Kplemani and they founded The Taste Of Afrika.

As their bond grew, Martin began feeling a sense of urgency and a spiritual calling to go to the African continent, a place where his ancestors left in chains. In 2022, Martin made his first trip to Ghana, his first time on the African continent.  His life would never be the same.

Visiting the slave castles (dungeons) in Cape Coast, learning how his foreparents were kidnapped and treated as cattle and stripped of their culture and way of life. Several trips followed after his initial trip. With each trip, his cultural and spiritual connection increased. Talking to elders, chiefs and historians, Martin gained a better understanding of the methods used by colonizers to disconnect continental Africans from their brothers and sisters that had been scattered throughout the diaspora.

There was a conscious effort to purposely miseducate both the colonized and the enslaved about each other. Martin and Tengol made great strides to establish The Cultural Oneness Festival, along with investing in agriculture in northern.

Martin has returned to the land of his ancestors.

The chains of physical and mental slavery have been removed. He has returned through the Exit and back to his roots as a Chief. Martin Chris Glin, Chief Suñ Naa is committed to connecting Diasporans such as himself back to their ancestral homeland.

This connection is mental, physical, and spiritual. Businesses, homes, and schools of business must be established in the northern region to help better the livelihood of the residents.
