A Ghanaian pastor in the United States of America, Sylvester Ofori, who shot and killed his wife Barbara Tommey in 2020, has been sentenced to life in prison.
Ofori was sentenced after a jury trial which began on Monday, July 22nd on charges of first-degree murder.
The Ghanaian pleaded guilty to the crime which was reportedly caught on surveillance camera.
In 2020, Sylvester Ofori who was the pastor of Floodgates of Heaven church in Orland, Florida, shot and killed his wife Barbara Tommey while she was going to work.
He ambushed her right before her workplace at a Navy Federal Credit Union and shot her.
After some deliberations, the jury wasted no time and returned a verdict of guilty against the Ghanaian, sentencing him to life in prison.
