Sowutuom-based emerging musician Nana Yaw, known by his stage name Wyllbeemusic, tragically lost his life at Abuakwa-Tanoso in the Ashanti Region while staying overnight at his girlfriend’s residence.
Reports indicate that the deceased travelled from Accra to Kumasi to spend several days with his girlfriend, who was unbeknownst to him, married to a man abroad and living with her in-laws.
The family mentioned that Wyllbee did not inform any family members of his trip. However, around 1 am on Friday, he allegedly went outside to urinate and was confronted by some occupants of the compound house who suspected him of being a thief.
The deceased reportedly explained that he was there to visit his girlfriend, but the girl allegedly denied knowing him to protect her marriage.
This situation escalated, and the occupants alerted neighbors, claiming they had caught a thief, leading to Wyllbee being brutally beaten.
He was taken to a local hospital early in the morning after his family was notified of his condition. Unfortunately, he passed away after being transferred to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further medical assistance.
