Man Who Assaulted Female Co-Worker In Central Region Pleads Guilty to Assault, Remanded Into Custody

The Ghanaian man who was captured on video assaulting a woman in his office at Nkawkaw has pleaded guilty to assault after being arraigned in court.

Ayivor Elikplim was hauled before the Nkakaw District Court and charged with assault to which he pleaded guilty.

The trial judge remanded Elikplim into police custody and adjourned the case to July 2nd 2024.

The case stemmed from a viral video in which the accused was spotted landing blow after blow on a female colleague.

According to reports, the fight had started after the woman, who worked with the savings and loans company, had brought in some money which was Ghc 90 short of the expected total.

Elikplim, who was her boss, confronted her and a verbal back-and-forth began which ended with him attacking her.
