Team Eternity Exposed By Defe Defe’s Original Producer for Allegedly Stealing His Song

The biggest and trending gospel single in Ghana currently, ‘Defe Defe’ by Team Eternity, has been accused of being a song stolen almost completely from an earlier song.

Kwame Mickey, the producer of the original ‘Defe Defe’ written by Osuani Afrifa and performed by Hallelujah Voices, said that the new and improved single from Team Eternity is a ripoff of his work.

In several posts on social media, Mickey said he owns the copyright for the original and those behind the current iteration should reach out to him to settle the issue amicably.

He wrote: ““Who is that Defe Defe Singer? If I start right now them go say I am mansonia. What is the difference between the two songs? Somebody tell her to report and do the needful, that’s all.”

In a follow-up post, he shared asked people to compare the lyrics of the two songs and a copy of Ghana’s copyright law.

Meanwhile, social media users are split -while some say he has a point, others say they see no comparison between the songs at all!
