Even though Afronita and Abigail didn’t win the BGT, their amazing performance at the finals got them the third position. The talented dancers with their great dance moves wowed the Judges and audience across the world throughout the competition, raising high the flag of Ghana and Africa on the global platform.
At the finals on Sunday, June 2, they put up an electrifying performance in bright Ghanaian colours coming up in the top three out of the ten finalists. However, they came third, which is still a significant feat for the Africans on that global stage.
The two young ladies have received massive support from Ghanaians both at home and abroad. The likes of Sam George, the MP for Ningo Prampram took to his social media pages to show his support for the girls. The 10 finalists included a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group.
But Sydnie Christmas took the top prize, ahead of Jack Rhodes in second and dancers Abigail and Afronita in third.
The judges of the ITV show, Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, returned for one last time this series, alongside hosts Ant and Dec.
