The remains of the late John Paul Odonwodo, better known as Junior Pope, have arrived in his hometown, Ukehe Igbo-titi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to reports, the burial is currently ongoing, with the presence of many Nollywood personalities.
The funeral mass is being officiated by Rt Rev Godfrey Onah, Bishop of Nsukka Catholic Diocese.
The actor met his untimely death after he was involved in a boat mishap earlier this month during a movie shoot.
Doing what he knows how to do best, the actor was working on a movie titled, ‘The Other Side of Life’, which was produced by Adanma Luke. To get to the set, the cast and crew had to cross the River Niger.
While going to the set, Pope had made a video while on the boat, asking the driver to move with caution. In the video, the actor pleaded that he was an only child and that he had three young children, who he wanted to raise himself. This was even as he told his fans that actors often took risks in their bid to entertain them.
