Ghanaian media personality, Vim Lady has disclosed the cultural shock she experienced when she traveled to the US.
Vim Lady advised celebrities not to expect special treatment when they travel abroad.
She explained that as a celebrity if you are not careful, you’ll face certain challenges when you don’t properly psych your mind.
According to Vim Lady, the kind of challenges you face as a celebrity from Ghana in the US could lead to depression and withdrawal symptoms.
“When you travel for the first time as a celebrity, you are likely to face challenges like depression, withdrawal symptoms among others.
” It even becomes worse when you don’t have proper documentation to start work immediately. Nobody gives a damn about you here. It’s even worse in New York. You can only survive here when you make up your mind that you are not as important here as you were back home”. She stated.
