A final year student of the University of Energy and Natural Resources located in Sunyani, identified as Abdul Aziz Isaiah, has died after an armed robbery attack on students returning from a field trip.
Students of the University embarked on a field trip to the Bui Dam and while returning, were attacked by armed robbers.
Per reports, about 80 renewable energy engineering students from the University were victims of a violent robbery during their return from the field trip last night.
Armed robbers reportedly targeted the students and stole their phones, laptops and cash.
Things turned tragic when Abdul Aziz Isaiah, popularly known as Zamani, a final year student, was fatally shot while the robbers attempted to gain entry to the bus.
Other students reportedly also suffered s*xual and physical assault during the incident
