Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSBT) founder and chairman of the governing board Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom honored a promise to the school’s first graduating class by gifting each graduate $1,000.

During the course of the weekend, at the school’s first graduation and third matriculation ceremony at its Ayensudo facility, all eight of the first students enrolled on NSBT received the monetary incentive.

This gesture honored the graduation of NSBT’s first cohort of 25 students by admitting 90 additional students. Eight girls and seventeen males made up the graduating class.

Of the honors, two were first-class, twelve were second-class higher, nine were second-class lower, and two were third-class. He gave the graduates sound financial advice, emphasizing that action should take precedence above transient pleasures.

According to Dr. Nduom, the objective was to seed monies for entrepreneurial efforts while the student was enrolled in classes, prior to the COVID-19 breakout.

“As some of you graduates might remember, I promised the first eight students who enrolled at our university that I would keep my word.

“And as part of that commitment, you were given some cash to launch a business while you were a student here on school.

At the graduation ceremony, he said, “That did not happen, so today after you receive your degree, each of you, the eight students, will receive $1000 in cash.”

He gave the graduates sound financial advice, emphasizing that action should take precedence above transient pleasures.

“I don’t want you to use the money for drinking and eating, but to find productive measures to start a business or invest the money for the future,” he said.

Dr. Nduom reassured the graduates of the institute’s commitment to ensuring their successful employment and urged them to maintain close ties with the institution.
