Citi News was informed by family-close sources that the 45-year-old MP passed away following a brief illness.
Six children and his wife were left behind.
John Ampontuah Kumah, also known as Lawyer John Kumah, was a man of integrity who focused on creating jobs and gave hope for the future to both young and old, according to his constituents in Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
He started the Aduaprokye Chambers after graduating from law school and served as its managing partner until the President named him CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in 2017.
Under the Presidential Business help Programme, he oversaw the training of 45,000 start-ups in three years while directing NEIP. He also provided help to 10,000 recipients, resulting in the development of numerous jobs for youth around the nation.
His death comes as a shock to Ghanaians.
