A top Ghanaian businessman identified as Eric Johnson, owner of the Safari Resort popularly known as Jirapa Dubai, has passed away.
Johnson was allegedly murdered, according to reporting from the Graphic Online.
According to their report, Johnson was stabbed late Saturday by unknown assailants.
Ghana Police released a statement Sunday afternoon addresing the murder, revealing the businessman was found lying in a pool of blood in one of the hotel rooms at the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel he recently built.
The Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, nicknamed Jirapa Dubai, is a 4-km safari park with various kinds of animals including zebras and has an artificial lake with fishes, aqua activities or games (Jet Ski).
Johnson revealed he built the safari resort in Jirapa in the Upper West Region to help create employment opportunities in the area and also to help open the area to tourists to help boost the local economy.
