Seven people are dead after a massive fuel tanker rammed into the back of a trotro on the Amasaman-Nsawam road, completely mangling the smaller car.

The sad incident occurred Monday and killed at least seven with three others in the trotro in critical condition.

The updated death  and injured toll as at Tuesday morning is not yet clear.

According to Adomonline, the accident occurred Monday evening near China Mall.

An eyewitness who spoke to the Multimedia owned media house said the trotro and the fuel tanker were both driving in the same direction with the tanker behind the trotro.

Apparently, the trotro driver had to slow down due to a hole in the road created due to ongoing construction works but the fuel tanker driver did not slow down in turn.

That led to the massive truck ramming into the trotro and completely mangling it beyond repair!

Out of 10 people aboard the trotro, 7 died and the other three were in critical condition and rushed to hospital.
