Twelve people are dead after a gory accident on the pothole-filled Accra-Tema motorway.

The accident occurred late Friday and involved a ‘trotro vehicle.

According to reports, twelve people in the trotro lost their lives!

A social media user who passed by the horrific accident which created massive traffic on the motorway, took a photo and shared it online.

“OmG! Accident on the Tema motorway just now , 12 dead 😭,” user PRESIDER (@iam_presider) wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Reactions to the accident were quite predictable as no one was surprised considering the current state of the so-called motorway.

“Why can’t the Roads and Transport Ministry focus on the Motorway and use their heads to solve problems in the interim? Can’t they simply reduce the speed limit to begin with and enforce it?” one netizen queried.

Another said: “Everything about This country is bad..hmm you joke small you gon trade ur soul. The leaders are not also making attempts to reconstruct road again,”
