A mother of three who underwent cosmetic surgery in Turkey has lost her life.
Days after the Brazilian buttlift procedure, Demi Agoglia, 26, began experiencing chest symptoms. The day she was scheduled to return home to Salford, Greater Manchester, she passed away.
The British mother had a heart attack in a taxi on Thursday, Jan. 4, while her partner Bradley Jones was frantically trying to perform CPR on her. She was headed back to the clinic in Istanbul for a check-up after the surgery.
After being sent to critical care, she tragically passed away on Monday, January 8.
Demi, whose youngest baby is seven months old, is reported to have experienced a series of heart attacks caused by a fat embolism.
She had had another treatment and “botched” dental work done before, yet she nevertheless took a plane to Turkey for the surgery.
Carl, her distraught brother, claims that Demi’s partner and family attempted to talk her out of having the procedure, and he cautions anyone considering having surgery in Turkey not to proceed.
Carl, 37, told The Sun: “It is tragic what happened. We are just in shock. She went to Istanbul to have it done.
“She had previously gone to have her teeth done. No one wanted her to go out and have it done but she is one of those people.
“Her partner is still out there and his dad has just flown out there to be with him.
“If anyone is thinking of flying to Turkey for an operation I would say don’t do it. Even her boyfriend didn’t want her to do it.
“But she is 26 and has her own mind. Mum didn’t want her to go out either.
“We have been told that her boyfriend had to do CPR on her in a taxi.
“We think they both went back to the clinic for a check up and that she collapsed in the clinic.
“They put her in a taxi with her partner. Something happened in the taxi. She couldn’t breathe.
“She is only 26, she shouldn’t have died. Just don’t do it, it’s such a high risk.
