The Lebanese Embassy in Ghana has released a statement to clarify that their ambassador to Ghana visited Afua Asantewaa during her sing-a-thon event and was mistakenly identified as the Indian Guinness World Record holder, Sunil Waghmare.
Media reports went viral Friday, December 29th 2023 that the Indian who currently holds the Guinness World Record for longest singing marathon had magnanimously flown to Ghana to congratulate Afua Asantewaa for breaking his record.

The reports originated from Twitter and spread like wildfire.
However, a statement from the Lebanese embassy has identified the gentleman in the video as H.E Maher Kheir, the Lebanese ambassador to Ghana and not Indian Sunil Waghmare.
The statement sought to set the record straight on the matter.
