Afua Asantewaa’s bid to set a new record for the longest individual singing marathon has come to an end.
Afua Asantewaa underwent a five-day singing marathon that began at midnight on Sunday, December 24 and ended at 7:00 am on December 29 in order to exceed the previous record of 105 hours set by an Indian in 2012.

By the time the young woman’s record attempt ended on Friday morning, she had performed for five days, six hours, and fifty-five minutes.
Afua Asantewaa thanked everyone who helped her, including those who could not make it to the Akwaaba Village, during her public remarks following her incredible achievement.
