Current Singathon Guinness World Record Holder, Sunil Waghmare Travels from India to Ghana to Congratulate Afua Asantewaa for Breaking His Record

The current, reigning world record holder for the longest singing marathon (sing-a-thon) in the Guinness Book of Records, Indian national Sunil Waghmare, has stormed Ghana to congratulate his likely successor.

Ghana’s Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum just completed a gruelling 126 hours of nonstop singing in an attempt to break Waghmare’s record.

In an incredible show of sportsmanship and camaraderie, Sunil Waghmare has stormed Ghana to deliver his personal congratulations to Afua Asantewaa for her record breaking feat.

A video shows the moment the Indian stormed the sing-a-thon venue to meet his Ghanaian counterpart and congratulate her.

Afua Asantewaa’s incredible feat spanned six days, starting from Sunday 24th December 2023 and ending in the early hours of Friday, 29th December.

The only hurdles left now are submitting her attempt to Guinness for a ruling to be done on the matter.
