Onua TV presenter, Captain Smart, called out management of his own station for contributing to the decay of the Ghana Movie Industry.
Captain Smart slammed Onua TV management for importing Indian and Mexican soaps, dubbing them into local languages and disseminating them far and wide to a Ghanaian audience.
The proliferation of these super poplar foreign soaps, dubbed into Twi, easily the most widely spoken language in Ghana, has been described as a major contributory cause to the destruction of Ghallywood, our local industry.
Captain Smart fumed that his employers have contributed to this phenomenon.
He pointed to actor turned farmer and politician, John Dumelo as a perfect encapsulation of the destruction of Ghallywood.
According to Captain Smart, Dumelo has been forced into farming due to the lack of revenue available in the Ghana Movie Industry.
