The video has sparked a debate on social media as some objected to the means of using social media to search for his family as they are being ‘disgraced’.

“This was not needed because wherever this was filmed there would be a Techiman association there and they know him and his family knows his whereabouts. They would also be looking out for him. This video is just going to cause his family shame and distress for nothing because it’s not like they can jump on a tro tro and go collect him. These people should eat their house case,” one netizen said.

Another wrote: “Let me add more because I am annoyed. What was the point of this video. Have you seen a ‘wanted’ or ‘searching for’ poster for this man that you went to film him and now has blasted him all over social media. This violates this mans human rights in every way. Taking advantage of a vulnerable person for your own selfish interest to go viral and become famous. What interventions does this act bring this man other than turmoil to his family,”
