Ghanaian actress and producer Habiba Sinare has revealed how her Nigerian friends were shocked to discover jollof they purchased from a restaurant in Nigeria was cooked by a Ghanaian chef.
Sinare said she was in Nigeria with her friends when they started arguing about the usual Ghana-Naija jollof battle.
As the argument went on, her friends decided to take her to a restaurant they often frequent to show her how delicious Nigerian jollof is.
Sinare said she was served jollof rice with plantain and grilled chicken and to be frank, the food was maginificently delicious.
Habiba Sinare said at that point she just had to give it up to her friends that Nigerian jollof is delicious.
However, before leaving the restaurant, she asked to be shown to the chef and that’s when it turned out that the food had been cooked by a Ghanaian.
Sinare said the chef introduced himself as Kwaku at which point she felt vindicated because she knows there is no way Nigerian jollof can be that delicious!!!
Habiba Sinare made her comments in response to Hilda Baci claiming that Ghanaian jollof lacks flavour!
