It has been confirmed by multiple sources that Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, has died. She reportedly died on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
It was confirmed via a family source that the former CEO of Ambar Quality Food Limited, who was instrumental in the initiative, passed away too soon, leaving a vacuum.
Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, the CEO of Ambar Quality Foods Limited, was born on February 1, 1960, in Dzelukope, Keta, in the Volta Region. She was not only well-known in the hospitality industry but also made a major impact on the food sector in Ghana.
Her late husband was a former minister in the Kufuor administration under Major Courage E. K. Quashigah (Rtd).
Following her graduation from Keta Secondary Senior High School, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah went on to undertake postgraduate work in her area of interest.
Throughout her leadership, the Ghana School Feeding Program made significant progress toward granting children all throughout the country widespread access to wholesome meals.
