Asamoah Gyan Allegedly Knew About His Wife’s Contract Marriage But Wanted To Kick Her Out Empty-Handed – Close Source Claims

A new update coming in indicates that former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan knew his wife was in a contract marriage before they married.

According to a report, Asamoah Gyan has known his ex-wife Gifty since she was 19 years old and they started dating along the way.

The report says in 2002, Gifty fell sick and had to seek medical care abroad.

Asamoah Gyan was unable to foot the bills at that time because he had just started his career as a footballer at Liberty Professionals.

The family then made an arrangement for Gifty’s uncle who was in Italy to marry her and help her travel abroad for medical care.

The source added it was a marriage of convenience and Asamoah Gyan knew about it and had no problem with it.

According to the report, Asamoah Gyan married Gifty after their second child upon his late mother’s advice.

This gist comes after the court ruling on their divorce case.

Apparently, Gifty was not awarded anything apart from what was already in her name gifted to her by Asamoah Gyan during the marriage.

Her request for GHc 8 million, 50 percent shares in 7 companies and ownership of 8 houses were all not awarded after the annulment of their marriage.

Gifty was given a 4-bedroom house in Spintex, Asamoah Gyan’s U.K mansion, BMW and Infinity cars, land and a monthly stipend of GH 25000.

All medical bills including school fees, dental bills, flight tickets and others are to be paid by Asamoah Gyan.
