A group of angry protestors during the Occupy Julorbi House protests late Saturday turned their ire on Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.
Sarkodie, throughout the three day protests, refused to show up and express solidarity with the protestors.
He sent out several tweets indicating his support but unlike his colleagues such as Stonebwoy, Efia Odo and others, stayed away from the frontlines.
Sarkodie’s absence was also exacerbated by the fact that he’s viewed as a staunch NPP supporter considering the fact that he constantly criticised the NDC government but can never bring himself to criticise the NPP in similar fashion.
Also, he endorsed the President’s reelection bid in 2020 with his rap in the song ‘Happy Day’ with Kuami Eugene.
After being given every ample opportunity to join the protest and failing to do so, the protestors turned their anger on Saturday on the last night of the protests.
Video shows the moment the group started chanting ‘WMT’ against Sarkodie in the Ga language.
