Blacko, Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Kwesi Arthur And Others Condemn Ghana Police For Manhandling Peaceful Protestors

In a remarkable show of unity and solidarity, some of Ghana’s most prominent celebrities have taken to Twitter to condemn recent police arrests and reports of brutality against protestors at the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration, which unfolded on September 21, 2023.

The likes of Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Black Sherif, Kofi Kinaata, Kwesi Arthur, Medikal, Sarkodie, Mr. Drew, and others have all added their voices to the injustice faced by peaceful protestors this morning.

A few hours ago, Ghanaian police apprehended 49 individuals linked to an unlawful assembly and a violation of the Public Order Act. These arrests transpired in the vicinity of the Jubilee House and the 37 Military Hospital area.

The arrests and reports of brutality against protestors have ignited a firestorm on social media, with numerous Ghanaians expressing their dismay at the handling of the situation by the authorities.
