Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Poloo has revealed that she had to run away from Accra to live in Kasoa due to the high cost of living in the capital.

Poloo revealed to Zionfelix during an interview that Accra nearly made her broke so she had to take the decision to completely abandon the city.

In her interview, Poloo said about four years ago when she broke out onto the scene, she had a two-bedroom self-contained apartment in Tse-Addo around Labadi.

Poloo said the apartment cost her a whopping Ghc 3,500 a month to rent and was draining her.

She noted that was about four years ago hence the value of the Ghc 3,500 she was paying was even heftier back then.

According to her, she eventually had to take the decision to vacate Accra for her own good and she’s now having a normal cost of living in Kasoa.

Reacting to her video, netizens bashed her for forcing herself to live outside her means.

They noted that there are many places in Accra you can rent without spending such exorbitant sums but celebrities always live under unnessecary pressure only to later complain about that pressure.
