A 36-year-old pregnant woman was shot dead in Mpumalanga, South Africa, in broad daylight, by her  boyfriend according to reports. 

The event happened on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023, in Mbombela, close to Buscor’s bus terminals on Samora Machel Street.

Some witnesses claim that the woman was shot after stepping out of a taxi.

The culprit reportedly arrived from a filling station and was driving a bakkie when he stopped in front of the victim, according to two bystanders.

It was said that he pulled out his gun and shot her in the right leg. The man is said to have shot her twice in the head after she fell, then driven off in Valencia’s direction.

The paramedics and police were contacted by the witnesses. In response, Emer-G-Med pronounced the woman deceased at the location.

Colonel Donald Mdhluli, a police spokesperson, confirmed the occurrence and stated that a murder complaint has been filed at the Nelspruit Police Station.
