Former NPP Trade and Industry Minister, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten has withdrawn from the NPP’s flagbearership race following their National Super Delegates Congress.
Mr Alan Kyeremanteng pulled out of the race yesterday as he released a statement explaining his reasons for opting to be out of the race.
The politician stated that his decision is based on his performance at the Delegates Congress.
According to him, the Special Delegates Conference was strategically and tactically skewed in favour of one aspirant.
Also, he noted that his polling agents were intimidated and unfairly treated as his agent in the North East Region suffered severe damage to his eyesight.
Mr Alan Kyeremanten revealed in his press statement that he is honourably withdrawing from the race because of the reasons stated above.
A number of celebrities including Nana Aba Anamoah, Serwaa Amihere, Lydia Forson, Berla Mundi, Afia Schwarzenegger and others have reacted to the incident.
Interestingly, Nana Aba Anamoah took to Twitter to laugh after someone asked why Mr Alan Kyeremanten had given up so easily.
Berla Mundi asked if we are about to get a third force. She added that she can’t wait to hear Alan speak.
Actress Lydia Forson reiterated the fact that Alan Kyeremanten claims he has been sabotaged.
And Serwaa Amihere expressed her shock at the news.
