The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has been ordered by an Accra High Court to restore Cecilia Dapaah’s money within seven days.
When the OSP seized the former sanitation minister’s assets, she became embroiled in a judicial battle. The OSP is now required to give her the money that was seized after the court reversed this decision.
Following the discovery that Cecelia Dapaah was keeping more than $1 million in her home, the OSP opened a corruption and corruption-related offense investigation into her.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor conducted a thorough investigation of the minister’s residences following the shocking disclosure of stolen monies by her domestic staff. This was due to the astronomical amounts that were allegedly stolen.

At the same time, a startling sum of GHC 2.730,000 in cash was also found there.
