There is more trouble looming for former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah as her late brother’s widow has sued her to recover the alleged $800,000 she claims belonged to him.
In order to defend the Minister after obscene sums of money were allegedly stolen by her housemaids, NPP propaganda journalist Paul Adom-Otchere came out to claim that $800,000 out of the alleged $1m stolen by her housemaids belonged to her late brother.
Cecilia Dapaah’s late brother was a former Asante chief who died in 2022 known as Nana Akwasi Essan II.
According to Paul Adom-Otchere, the outrage over the missing money was displaced because out of the $1m stolen, only $200,000 belonged to Cecilia Dapaah herself.
He also claimed that a further 300,000 euros that went missing wasn’t the Minister’s possession but her husband’s!
However, in a new development, the wife of the late Nana Akwasi Essan II has spoken out, revealing she wasn’t aware of any such large of money belonging to her husband being in Cecilia Dapaah’s custody.
She has therefore instituted legal proceedings to recover the money since her late husband’s property must be returned to her and their kids according to the laws of Ghana.
