Anne Sophie Avé, a former ambassador of France to Ghana, is driving a daring push to get some of Ghana’s best musicians diplomatic passports.
Avé fervently contends that musicians like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, King Promise, Shatta Wale, and R2Bees have impressively promoted Ghana on the international scene, outperforming the influence of some traditional ambassadors.

Avé’s invitation follows the musicians’ amazing performances at numerous international events, including King Promise’s breathtaking performance at Wizkid’s event in Tottenham Sports stadium and Sarkodie’s spectacular Jamz tour in the United States.
In a tweet lauding their efforts and contributions to Ghana’s international reputation, Avé wrote, “Ghana
you should give these guys diplomatic passports: they put Ghana to the world better than even the best ambassadors could in a lifetime @sarkodie @stonebwoy @blacksherif_ @shattawalegh @r2bees @IamKingPromise.”
