Tiffany Haddish talked about her struggles with infertility, revealing that she recently had her eighth miscarriage and explaining why she go initially chose to keep the information of her miscarriages a secret.
Tiffany Haddish is being transparent about her struggle to conceive.
The comedian recently opened up about having her eighth miscarriage and recalled a recent chat she had with a nurse.
Well I’m going to be honest with you,” Tiffany recounted her response in an interview with The Washington Post published July 24, “this would be my eighth miscarriage.“
“I’ve got a uterus shaped like a heart. It just won’t keep anything in,” she continued. “I didn’t want people saying: ‘Are you OK? Are you alright?’ Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.“

The 43-year-old claimed she made the choice to keep her miscarriage experiences largely a secret so that others’ perceptions of her would not be impacted.
“I had a lot of miscarriages,” she shared Rachel Bilson’s Broad Ideas podcast earlier this month. “That has a lot to do with the endometriosis and misdiagnosis and all that stuff.”
Giving details about what she went through, the Girls Trip actress added, “Those miscarriages were as painful as a motherf–ker.”
“I feel like a piece of my soul died every time,” she shared. “I don’t know if I am capable and I feel like that was God’s birth control telling me, ‘He is not the one. That is not who you are supposed to be having a baby with.'”

Tiffany, who separated with Common in 2021, has, however, looked into alternative parenting options. In an interview with E! News’ Daily Pop anchor Justin Sylvester in January 2022, Tiffany said that she could be prepared to complete the adoption process “maybe at the end of the year, beginning of next year.”
She has also completed parenting courses in the past to prepare.
