President Nana Addo Built A Memorial Social Center For His Late Wife, Eleanor Akufo-Addo To Mark Her 30th Anniversary

President Nana Akufo-Addo lost his ex-wife 30 years ago, and in keeping with custom, a memorial service will be performed to honor her memory.

On July 13, 1993, Madam Eleanor Akosua Akufo-Addo, formerly Saa Nkansah-Gyamenah, passed suddenly from unspecified circumstances.
She had a daughter from her long marriage to Mr. Akufo-Addo.

In addition to being a lawyer, the late Eleanor Akufo-Addo served as DHL’s first Ashanti Regional Manager.

She is a member of the Asante Mampong Botase Royal Family known for her beauty, elegance, gentility, and politeness.

Her 30th anniversary will be held at Asante Mampong which is her final resting place. The ceremony includes a wreath laying at her gravesite followed by a short anniversary service.

The event’s highlight is the commissioning of Eleanor Akufo-Addo Memorial Social Centre, in her honour.
