Listening to the truth is bothersome for some Ghanaians because stating a simple fact about the LGBTQ bill has gotten some folks on Charlie Dior’s neck.
Reacting to the draconian and senseless law, which is making its way through Parliament currently, Dior pointed out the fact that whilst Ghanaians are frothing at the neck over its anti-LGBT provisions, they fail to realise it outlaws bl*w jobs too.
Dior wrote: “Y’all in the comments saying thank you yet don’t know that these (sic) ridiculous bill will affect you too not just the people in the LGBTQ community. This bill frowns on orals*x too (unnatural carnal knowledge).
“If you give or receive BJ you can be persecuted too. Throw this bill out,”
Charlie Dior was roasted by tons of Ghanaians in the comments of his post, with many hurling homophobic, transphobic and bigoted comments at him.
What many Ghanaians fail to realise is that the broad unnatural carnal knowledge law does not refer only to an*l s*x but also or*l s*x. This was pointed out in Parliament by Ablekuma West MP and Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu herself.
This is a matter of fact and not opinion.
But it’s too much to expect Ghanaians to be interested in fact and not bigotry and prejudice. After all, Sam George and his gang of incompetent colleagues getting fat on the back of the taxpayer refuse to tackle society’s real issues and are instead focusing on attacking a minority community who have no impact on GDP and folks are cheering them on.
It is what it is.
