Carlee Russel Is A Liar, Her Kidnapping Is A Hoax – Missing Alabama Woman Exposed

Carlee Russell, an Alabama woman who went missing on a highway after presumably seeing a toddler has been accused of engaging in a hoax.

Russell sparked off a nationwide hunt when she went missing last week Thursday, but then unceremoniously walked home on Sunday.

Since then, police said they would interrogate her when she’s feeling better but there has been no urgency to find her kidnappers.

Social media has quickly turned on Carlee Russelll after she received so much support when she was thought missing.

Her story of stopping to help a toddler stranded on the highway and getting kidnapped sounded so touching and everyone was rooting for her.

Carlee Russell Press Conference

In a press conference held Wednesday, July 20th, Alabama police cast more doubt on Carlee Russell’s story.

Officials said her behavior and internet search activity in the days leading up to her disappearance was “strange,” adding that police haven’t been granted a follow-up interview with her about the incident.

Prior to her disappearance, Russell had searched for whether or not you “have to pay for an Amber Alert” and what the maximum age for an Amber Alert is.

Hoover police chief Nick Derzis also said Russell searched for a one-way bus ticket from Birmingham, Ala. to Nashville, Tenn., scheduled for the night she vanished. She also searched for the movie Taken, and looked up the phrase “how to take money from a register without being caught.”

Carlee Russell is a 25-year-old American woman who went missing on Thursday, July 13, 2023, after calling 911 to report seeing a toddler walking alone on the side of Interstate 459 in Hoover, Alabama.

She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and white Nike shoes. She has a mother, Talitha Russell, and a father, Carlos Russell. She also has a brother and a sister.

Her parents describe her as a smart, courteous and kind person who loves to help others.

Carlee Russell worked at The Woodhouse Day Spa in Birmingham and had just finished her shift when she spotted the child, which she estimated to be 3 or 4 years old.

She called 911 and then a family member who lost contact with her, though the line remained open. A witness reported seeing a gray vehicle with a light-complected male standing outside of Carlee’s vehicle, but no further information was available.

Police found her abandoned car and some of her belongings, including her phone, but no sign of her or the child.

A massive search was launched involving local, state and federal agencies, as well as volunteers organized by Carlee’s parents. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for her safe return.
