Adjetey Anang, a well-known actor from Ghana, has recently published a book titled “Adjetey Anang: A Story of Faith, Imperfection, and Resilience” in which he speaks openly about his marital problems and confesses to having cheated on his wife several times.
The veteran actor revealed the struggles his nearly ten-year marriage to Elorm Anang has faced in Chapter Nine, titled “Marital Challenges and Imperfection,” putting light on their journey of forgiving and resiliency.
Anang understands that every marriage experiences a unique set of setbacks, and his marriage to his wife is no different.
The renowned actor describes how what at first appeared to be innocent conduct with the other sex soon turned into flirtation and, at times, violated bounds. He expresses regret for his conduct and freely admits to physically and emotionally cheating on his wife.
Reflecting on his past behavior, Anang writes, “You could say I was naive from the start about subtle amorous hints and perhaps made a lot of assumptions about people’s motives till it was too late. Soon, I became bolder, more daring, and more adventurous; sometimes, I initiated flirtatious conversations and led many on. I have been in very compromising situations with ladies. Some started as admiration and fun and, after frequent chats, developed into flirting and occasionally went too far.”
Even though Adjetey Anang was candid with his fans, some felt he was emotionally blackmailing his wife by making her stay in the marriage.
Some even added that most Ghanaian women are tagged as wife materials if they endure suffering in their marriages.
