Yvonne Nelson Asks Sarkodie to Respect Womanhood When She Doesn’t Respect One – Her Own Mother

Yvonne Nelson went on an indignant tirade against Sarkodie after his diss track ‘Try Me’, asking him to respect womanhood – yet she’s never shown any respect for the womanhood of the person who brought her onto this planet – her mother.

Lies, more lies and double standards – Yvonne Nelson’s marketing ruse to sell her memoir is unravelling faster than an unspoiled yarn of wool.

For the past two weeks or so, actress Yvonne Nelson has had control over the narrative. After her woe betide me story in her memoir ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, exposing how Sarkodie supposedly dumped her at an abortion clinic and left her to her fate, she had all the sympathy in the world.

However, Sarkodie upended the apple cart late Tuesday, June 27th when he released his side of the story. As a rapper, he chose his most familiar territory as his mode of communication and took Yvonne to the cleaners in ‘Try Me’.

Sarkodie said Yvonne Nelson suggested the abortion, using her schooling as an excuse. He suggested she was sleeping with him and other guys at the same time hence he never believed the pregnancy was his and when he asked her to be checked out by his own doctor, she refused.

Sarkodie’s response went viral like wildfire and like the initial accusation from Yvonne shifted things in her favour, Sark seems to be winning some goodwill back.

Yvonne thus jumped on Twitter to hit back and gain some upper hand. She called Sarkodie out for apparently disrespecting womanhood, mixed with some veiled curses about his daughter, Titi’s future.

“In my book, i narrated how you got me pregnant, How you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you DROVE me to have an abortion. As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, lets see what life throws at them. #triedyou

“Insults wont work Michael. Respect womanhood, Im happy the world gets to see how you are playing this and the real you. Young women get to learn from this. You would get the applause for a rap. Still doesn’t change the TRUTH.,” the actress tweeted.

Yet, Yvonne’s line to respect womanhood rings hollow considering her own example she’s set by completely humiliating her mother in the book. Yvonne showed no respect for her mother’s womanhood when she revealed she was possibly a harlot sleeping with multiple men to the extent she couldn’t pinpoint who exactly impregnated her.

Yvonne Nelson called for Sarkodie to respect womanhood to shield herself yet she couldn’t follow her own example. Her mother’s reputation has completely sunk all over the country, simply for the price of a few dollars in book sales.

Perhaps if Yvonne Nelson respected her mother’s motherhood, she might have a leg to stand on. As it is, she doesn’t hence her clap back at Sarkodie feels like nothing more than a self-serving defence mechanism.

There’s a lot at play here in this story of Sarkodie and Yvonne. Neither side is completely guilty but let’s make no mistake, neither side is innocent either.
