Most people in Ghana especially the youth have been bolting out of the country in search of greener pastures abroad.
9 out of 10 Ghanaians want to move out of the country in search of better jobs with reasonable stipends.
A typical example of those leaving the country is health workers. Most nurses move to the US, Canada, UK, Vietnam, and Moscow among other countries to practice as nurses.
Some of these nurses have even spoken about the good stipends they earn on a daily basis and monthly basis in other countries.
This has made media personality Serwaa Amihere wonder why Ghanaians are eager to leave the country.
Well, some concerned citizens decided to explain to her why the youth are running away.
One person replied Serwaa’s Tweet by saying “No hope for the youth. No jobs (high level of graduate unemployment), poor standards of education, selective in government disbursement of loans for new start ups, poor leadership skills and management. These and many others has been the reasons why “we want to leave the country” Not to go and never come back but go in search for greener pastures.”
