Award-winning gospel musician Piesie Esther is being dragged after calling on Black Sherif to become a gospel artiste.

In a recent interview, the ‘Wa ye me yie’ singer congratulated Black Sherif for winning the VGMA Artiste of the Year title.

She went on to pray that Black Sherif joins her one day to sing the gospel.

According to Piesie Esther, Blacko has a powerful voice and she wishes that he would sing gospel one day

However, social media users are not happy with Piesie Esther’s comment.

According to them, all musicians cannot sing gospel, and there is nothing wrong with singing secular music.

Others have also called her out for being judgemental, they noted that singing gospel does not qualify anyone to heaven.

This comes after Black Sherif beat Piesie Esther to win the 2023 VGMA Artiste of the Year title.
