Legendary Ghanaian producer and sound engineer, Hammer of the Last Two and his family are in mourning following the death of his father, Jones Osei.
Hammer lost his dad on Sunday, April 30th 2023.
The legendary beatmaker who took Ghanaian hiplife to the next level during his heydays, announced the shocking news on his Twitter handle Sunday.
Real name Edward Nana Poku Osei, Hammer wrote on Twitter about the passing of his father: “Today I received that dreaded phone call no one can ever quite be prepared for… but after seeing my dad resting so peacefully in his bed, all I could see was a life well lived.
“Even though 30th April, 2023 will forever remain one of the saddest days of my life, the memories of my childhood up until now seem to have the upper hand. Thank you for raising us right. Goodbye, Daddy. May your soul rest in perfect peace,”
This is sad news for Da’Hammer and his family. May the old gee rest in perfect peace.
Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest Ghanaian producers of all time, Hammer groomed the best hiplife talents the country has ever seen – from the legendary Obrafour to Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese and Tinny.
