The family of the late Maadwoa has called for the death penalty for Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, the police officer who murdered the mother of one in Kumasi.
Inspector Ahmed Twumasi during his first court date Tuesday, April 25th 2023, told the court that Maadwoa was owing him Ghc 5,000.
According to him, he had no intention of killing her when they met but her refusal to settle the debt made him lose his mind.
The Asokore Mampong District Court hearing the case adjourned proceedings till 30th May, with the suspect remanded into police custody until then.

Reacting to the claims of the police officer, Maadwoa’s family called for him to be killed as the only way for justice to be served.

They lamented how one can commit murder over the paltry sum of Ghc 5,000.
