Ghanaian media personality, Nana Yaa Brefo, has spoken up about the LGBT bill in Parliament.
Recently, during the U.S. Vice President’s trip to Ghana, Kamala Harris and President Akufo-Addo were both asked about the bill.
Harris made it clear she’s against the bill as a human rights activist whilst President Akufo-Addo said it isn’t even an official policy of his government.
That has angered many people who have called on the government to be bold, pass the law and ignore American interference.
Reacting to the brouhaha, Nana Yaa Brefo threw her support behind the bill. According to her, it’s against Ghanaian culture to flaunt LGBT in public hence the bill must be passed.
However, she also said that what people do in their bedrooms is no one’s business hence gays can be gay in peace in their rooms but they cannot flaunt it outside.
Brefo said it is a fact that many Ghanaian men ch*p their wives from behind which is the same as what the gays do but once they keep it behind close doors, nothing can be done to them.
