Kennedy Agyapong, Sulley Muntari, Akufo-Addo, John Mahama and Other Dignitaries Storm Christian Atsu’s Funeral – Videos

The final funeral rites of late Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu are currently ongoing at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

Numerous dignitaries have stormed the venue to pay their last respects to the former Ghana international.

Big names spotted at the event so far include President Nana Akufo-Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, Assin Central Member of Parliament, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong, Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament, Lydia Alhassan and Honourable Kofi Adams, Member of Parliament for Buem.

Other former Black Star players at the venue include Sulley Ali Muntari, John Painstil, Prince Tagoe, Samuel Osei Kuffour aka Tugah, Black Stars coach Chris Hughton, Michael Essien’s wife Akosua Puni, Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor Sheyi and many others.

Atsu died in the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria at the start of February 2023.

He went missing on February 6th, only being found dead two weeks later.

He left behind a wife and three kids, who are currently in Ghana for his final funeral rites.
