Scores of netizens poke fun at Former President John Dramani Mahama for donating the sum of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢5,000.00) towards the late Christian Atsu’s funeral.
The Ghana National Football Team, Black Stars lost a midfielder, Christian Atsu to death.
The sad event happened on the 6th of February in Turkey after an Earthquake collapsed his building.
The Footballer was trapped under the rubble for 12 days. His lifeless body was found on 18th of February, 2023 and flown to Ghana awaiting burial.
The ex President in his way of commiserating with the family of Christian Atsu donated GH¢5,000 towards the funeral.
The amount however has sparked debate as to if it befits the status of the former president.
Some even asked if it’s to be used for a primary school ‘our day‘ celebration.
Judging from the reactions of netizens to the sum donated, they believe it doesn’t befits the status of either the President or the deceased.
