I’ll Make You Proud, Dad – Emotional As Christian Atsu’s Son Wins Football Trophy One Week After Father’s Death

Christian Atsu‘s eldest son. Joshua Atsupie, has won a football trophy just a week after his father’s death and vowed to make him proud.

Joshua helped his team, Gosforth Football Club to victory in the final of the Pro Motiv8 Under-9 Tournament.

His mother, Marie Claire-Rupio, shared a photo of her son holding up the trophy following his club’s victory.

Ex-Ghana international Christian Atsu tragically perished in the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria earlier this month.

Atsu went missing after the earthquake on February 6th, but was only found last week Saturday, February 18th.

Christian Atsu won 65 caps for Ghana, scoring 9 goals.
