Following the death of Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, Ghanaians have been wondering about the whereabouts of his wife, Marie-Claire Rupio after his body was flown to Ghana.
Christian Atsu’s body has been transported to Ghana and his family including his twin sister who travelled from the U.K to Turkey and to Ghana have presented a book of condolence where friends and loved ones are sharing farewell messages.

The family has availed themselves every day to welcome Ghanaians into their house to come and mourn the late Black Stars player.
However, Christian Atsu’s wife and his children have not been spotted.
They are not in Ghana to check the body and to mourn with the family.
Speaking in an interview, the elder brother of Christian Atsu has said that his wife calls the family every day to ask about what is going on.

He revealed Christian Atsu’s wife is making plans to fly to Ghana with all his 3 children for the funeral.
According to him, Christian Atsu’s wife offered to come immediately after his body arrived in Ghana but the family asked that she waits and come for the final funeral rites.
