Afia Schwarzenegger has called for Ghanaians to celebrate the great people whilst alive and not wait for them to die before coming out with accolades.
Afia released a video complaining bitterly over how Ghanaians wait for people to die before celebrating them.
Her comments come in the wake of the death of footballer Christian Atsu, who perished in the earthquake that recently struck Turkey.

Following his death, numerous reports have surfaced revealing the number of philanthropic works he was involved in which he kept out of the public eye.
Atsu has thus been celebrated as a hero.
Harping on that, Schwarzenegger said Atsu should have been celebrated before he died.
She said Ghanaians should learn to celebrate our heroes when they’re around – naming Asamoah Gyan, Fadda Dickson and Bola Ray as examples of heroes worth celebrating.

However, netizens asked her why she doesn’t practice what she preaches. Delay is also a hero and media pioneer who discovered Afia but Afia usually insults her rather than celebrate her.
“Who has herself celebrated… even delay who made her koraaa she insults her at every given opportunity. Let us think,” a netizen fired.
